Today I was talking with a friend about situations in their life. I routinely stated that I would pray for them. That God
would handle this situation. I feel as if I was encouraging them to be selfish. Remember friends when Daniel was in the lions den, he was DELIVERED not ALLEVIATED. Many times we pray that God take out the hard time and call that DELIVERANCE. When in fact that is alleviance. We too often pray for the pain to go away to make us feel better. Instead let us seek to be delivered whether we are to escape the pain or go through it. Then and only then will we find peace either way! Remember what our Savior said in the garden: “ Not my will but yours be done”
