Falling in Love with Jesus

It seems to me that sometimes we get so wrapped up in “church” that we forget our reason for being...Jesus. I wonder if we sometimes get hyped up on technicalities. We love the idea of Overflow and what it stands for and also what it does, but all of that is nothing without Jesus (John 15:5). Because of this fallacy we tend to become a church with no roots. Paul tells us to be rooted in FAITH not church. What if your church was pulled away from you? How would you survive spiritually? A friend of mine who is in the jail told me about how wonderful Jesus is in his life, and yet he has no church. Are you growing spiritually? Are you simply in love with an idea of church? The only way you will grow spiritually is to be connected on a personal level with Jesus Christ. You are sadly mistaken if you think a church service or worship service can change your life. Only Jesus can do that. Are you in love with your savior? Get off the milk and search for the deeper things in Christ! It is time to get on your knees and cry out to Jesus for forgiveness and hope. Do you want to grow spiritually? Are you tired of the nothingness you call life? Lets go to Jesus together and then and only then will we see true impact on this community. Lets Go!!!!
